Tashkent ---> Samarkand

Day1/ Tashkent - Khiva via Ourgentch
The visit continues with the madrasa Koukeldash sixteenth century. Lunch in the city. Back at the airport and fly to the city of Urgench where the group will take a bus to Khiva (30 km) near the border with Turkmenistan. Accommodation for two nights in a guest house in the Ichan-Kala, the inner fortress of the XVII-XIX century.

Day2/ Khiva
Guided tour of the city in the morning. Meet one of the most remarkable of the oasis of Khorezm. It was the capital of the Khanate in the XVIII th century and one of the great places of trade in Central Asia. Since the renovations carried out by the Soviets, the Ichan-Kala, the historic center surrounded by pink walls of clay, is a genuine source of wealth, the palace of the Khans (Kuna the Ark of the sixteenth-century) to the Friday mosque through Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum and Madrasa and Minaret of Islom Khoja.
Free time in the afternoon, the opportunity for everyone to discover this wonderful city perfectly preserved by time.

Day3/ Khiva-Boukhara (480 km)
Departure early morning for Bukhara. Our rout along the Oxus River ( The Amu Darya current) in the footsteps of Alexander the Great and through the desert. Lunch will be on a route .
In the late afternoon, arriving in a guest house for three nights at Bukhara.

Day4/ Boukhara la Sainte
Discover this city called "the pearl of the desert". It is a step of the Silk Road. The city is a true home of Islam in Central Asia which prospered many ages. The city is the home to hundreds of Islamic schools and multiple displays of carpets and jewelry in the continuity of its glorious past trading. During the trip you will discover the minarets of Chor Minor, all Poyi-Kalon, the madrasas of Ulugbek and Abdulaziz and many monuments of medieval centuries.

Day5/ Bukhara - Samarkand (270 km)
On road to the magnificent city of Samarkand, real splendor of the 1001 nights with infinite shades of blue. During two days, will explore the footsteps of Tamerlane over the monuments of his time as the mausoleum of Gour-Emir, where he is buried and the huge mosque of Bibi Khanum and the Shahi-Zinda necropolis .
Samarkand was the principal city of ancient Sogdiana, it was seen as the welfare for the pilgrims from the desert, with its lush gardens, minarets and domes of deep blue and sparkling. We will certainly not of course the famous Registan square, magical and timeless with dazzling mosaics depicting the evolution of Timurid architecture and its many influences.
Both nights will be at the guest house



Samarkand ---> Tashkent


Day1/ Samarkand - Boukhara (270 km)
By the road is planned a stop in the city of Ghijduvon to visit a ceramics workshop. Departure for the town of Bukhara where we spend the night in guest house after about 4 hours drive.

Day2/ Bukhara
Visit the town in the valley Zerafshan. Bukhara was one of the most important cities on the Silk Road, traders flocked to sell their wares, notament carpets and jewelry. She was also a hotbed of developement important for several religions like Zoroastrianism and later Islam.
One can find many Koranic schools, madrasas, mosques and tombs.
Visit Chor Minor and its four minarets that once splendid guarding the entrance of a madrasa, all Poye-Kalon (XV-XVI century) and its impressive "tower of death" where the voice the muezzin could carry up to 8 km away. The tour continues with Kosh madrasa Ulugbek and Abdulaziz (XV-XVII century) and all Labi-Khousse (XVI-XVII century) brought us back to medieval times.

Day 3/ Boukhara - Khiva (480 km)
Departure to Khiva, mystical city located in the desert of red sand. On site, we will spend the night in a guest house. The driving time is estimated at about 6am.

Day4/ Khiva
In the early morning tour of the city, magnificent remnant of the Khorezm oasis. Khiva Khanate was the capital of the seventeenth century, one of the largest market in Central Asia. Nowadays, the Ichan Kala is a real culture well where you can admire the former residence of the Khans (the Kouna-Ark), the mausoleum of Pahlavan Mahmud (fifteenth century), the Friday Mosque and its prestigious minaret dating from the eleventh century and the madrasa Islom Khoja (nineteenth century). These treasures of the past give the city a character in a remarkably authentic and unique style colorful pink clay ramparts.
The afternoon will be leaving you free time to stroll along the sunny streets of Khorezm.

Day5/Khiva - Tashkent
Free time in the morning transfer to Urgench (30km) and domestic flight to the capital.
